Virtual Event: From Public Spaces to Peace Places
Youth-led local action for inclusive communities
In discussions concerning social challenges and future of our communities, young people are often spoken about, but rarely included as equal actors. Through the Public Spaces for Peace Places project we wanted to change that.
Through the Public Spaces for Peace Places project, we wanted to change that. We focused on a simple premise: engaging young people to share their insights on safety, accessibility, and belonging – and making it possible for them to transform everyday public spaces into inclusive “peace places” through local action.
On November 5th at 15.00–16.00 we are hosting a virtual gathering to share the honest insights, challenges, and outcomes of this work.
We invite fellow NGO professionals, donors, and partners to join us as we share.
- Our Methodology: How we structured and supported youth-led local peace actions.
- Youth Stories: Direct perspectives and lived experiences from the participants.
- Key Lessons Learned: What worked, what didn’t, and our insights on addressing exclusion and polarisation.
We hope to provide a space for shared learning and to offer practical ideas for how youth can be meaningfully included in conversations and actions for peace.
